It used to annoy me that I can't write my name in a wiki without it turning into a page. But I decided to live with it, and have a page when it happened.

I am the Chief Standards Officer - which means I am in charge of the work Opera does on standards, from W3C, WHAT-WG to OMA and ISO.
In particular, I do W3C stuff - I have edited several specs, and chair the WebAPI working group, among other sins.
I live in Norway but I am from Australia, I have travelled a lot over the last decade, almost always for work, and I have spent a lot of my spare time and some big chunks of work time organising events like BarCamp or turning up to them - although I have only been to one genuine certified actual BarCamp (which was in Delhi, India).
