• A presentation is a lot like a conversation where the other side can hardly get a word in edgewise. Here are a few tips to help the conversation go more smoothly.

 

• Think about the four to seven most exciting and/or important points about the topic.
• Write the points on index cards, one point per card.
• Practice telling people about these points.
• As you practice, you will come up with interesting notes on the points. Scribble these on the card.
• Add in a card to introduce yourself.
• Add in a card to remind people to ask questions (during or at the end or both)
• Bring business cards (or something) to give people so that they can reach you.
