BarCamp Vermont is an ad-hoc gathering born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment. It is an intense event with discussions, demos, and interaction from attendees. This is a free (both gratis and libre) event.
The goal is to bring together local software developers, web designers, web developers, students, graphic designers, illustrators, educators, marketers, entrepreneurs, and more to learn from one-another. Whoever comes are the right people and the agenda is up to you! Topics may include:
When
If you can volunteer a meeting space, please post it here or on the mailing list!
Where
Once we have a meeting space, we can decide on dates and times.
Where to stay?
If you want to sponsor, please post here or on the mailing list! In-kind donations are preferred over cash. The biggest thing needed right now is a venue. The ideal venue will have full internet access (no ports blocked, no firewalls, no traffic shaping etc.) and be accessible. The size of the venue needed will depend on the number of participants, but the bigger the better! If you are local business in the tech or creative industry with a large space then this is an excellent opportunity to connect with local talent.
The hope is that all event needs can be handled through in-kind donations. All incoming donations (whether cash or in-kind) and outgoing expenses will be posted here for transparency.
