We are using this Wiki for the organization of ProductCamp Amsterdam. To sign up for the mailing list or register for the event, please also see www.productcampamsterdam.org

BarCamp is an ad-hoc gathering born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment. It is an intense event with discussions, demos, and interaction from attendees. A ProductCamp is BarCamp for product manager and marketers.

There have recently been several very succesful product camps, for example in Austin and Toronto. And in Amsterdam we have had many succesful tech conferences. There is the general TheNextWeb conference and several developer-oriented gatherings like Fronteers and Kings of Code.

So I thought it was high time for an unconference for us product managers and marketers, and created this page. To get things started I created this page, emailed some product people I know to find out about interested and proposed a date - Sunday 18 October.

Most important thing now is to get in touch with all people who are interested in participating - presenting a session or just attending. Please drop me an email at mark (at) agilician (dot) com if you are interested or simply want to be kept in the loop!

And please get in touch with productcampamsterdam@gmail.com if you are available to help! We urgently need additional friendly helpers.

Participants (aka Campers)

ProductCamp Amsterdam aims to bring together some 100 product managers and marketers from Amsterdam, the Netherlands and the rest of Europe. For a list of participants, please see http://www.productcampamsterdam.org/participants.htm

Event details

When

  • ProductCamp Amsterdam will take place on Sunday 18 October
    • Weekends, especially Sundays seem to work best for unconferences.
    • Mid / late October leaves enought time to get organized.
    • An international product management conference is held in Amsterdam on 21/22 October (http://www.practicalproductlines.org/ppl2009/)

Where

Sponsors

Four sponsors have signed up for ProductCamp Amsterdam already. We are looking for additional logo sponsors who can contribute EUR 200,= for exposre to a great group of product managers and marketers!

The current sponors are:

  • WUA! has agreed to sponsor the venue and coffee! WUA! is market leader in the Netherlands in web performance scans: http://www.wua.nl/
  • Servoy will make sure nobody is hungry and treat all participants to lunch! Servoy creates a hybrid development and deployment platform: http://servoy.nl/
  • MeasureWorks is buying the drinks for the party! MeasureWorks is a services company devoted to optimizing online quality of experience:

    http://www.measureworks.nl/

  • Pragmatic Marketing, creator of the world's most popular product management and marketing seminars, has signed on as logo sponsor: http://www.pragmaticmarketing.com/ is an unconference and relies entirely on its participants to make it a success.

We need some additional sponsors and are asking all participants to help us find them!

Please ask your employer and other companies in your network whether they are interested in sponsoring. We are looking for several logo sponsors who want to associate themselves with ProductCamp Amsterdam for only EUR 200,=. The amount has been chosen to be small in line with the idea of an unconference. And the value is tremendous, as all sponsors will get significant exposure (website, banner, newsletter, t-shirt) to a unique audience of expert product managers and marketers.

You can get in touch with productcampamsterdam@gmail.com if you have a potential sponsor.
